New Day is often touted as one of the best tag teams in the WWE. All the members of the New Day have taken an oath to never turn on each other and to always have each other’s backs. It is interesting to witness a team that embraces brotherhood, unlike other teams that have been jinxed in the WWE.
After suffering a broken neck, Big E has been out of action for over a year, and Kofi Kingston is also sidelined courtesy of an injured ankle.
Xavier Woods names most underrated star on WWE roster
Xavier Woods was questioned about who he thinks is the most underrated star, and he replied, “Chad Gable! There are a lot of very underrated people, and not to get on a weird high horse, I don’t believe that wrestling owes you anything. So right now, seeing as many people that are as talented as they are in this industry, it makes me so happy for the future of what we have as pro wrestlers, to see people grow.”

He continued, “But, I, for me, myself personally, I wanna see Chad Gable get a spotlight because he deserves one. He’s a guy who came in, Olympic-level wrestler and fell into this and learned it quick and is athletic, agile, smart, creative, all of these things and so, my vote is for Gable, and that’s a very long-winded way to say that.”
Many other wrestlers and fans have also reiterated that Chad Gable is truly a good wrestler.
Woods not featuring on programming with Big E, Kofi Kingston out injured
Xavier Woods was last featured on the May 15th episode of RAW. Back in 2022, he and Kofi Kingston went over to NXT and won the NXT Tag Team Championships. It seems that without his New Day brothers, WWE Creative does not have much of a plan to utilize Woods, and that is probably the reason he has been sidelined as of late.
Considering Big E was Mr. Money in the Bank, it was expected by many that he would become the Universal or the WWE Champion somewhere down the line. On the other hand, Kofi Kingston shocked the world when he defeated Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 35.
WWE tried to build Woods as a singles wrestler by having him defeat Finn Balor to become the King of the Ring. With the character of King Woods not working, WWE had to scrap their plans and make Roman Reigns take the King’s crown from him and destroy it later on.
With rumors going around that Big E is getting ready for an in-ring return soon, it will be interesting to witness how WWE will try to forge back the missing faction or perhaps upset fans by breaking up the New Day.
