We are currently on the road to the Biggest Party of the Summer i.e. SummerSlam 2023. The show already seemed to be stacked with the card including names like Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins etc. However, as of now, LA Knight is not booked for the show. The self-proclaimed Megastar has been experiencing a huge amount of success in WWE over the past few months.
The WWE crowd usually buzzes with huge chants of his signature style i.e. “YEAH !” Despite having a strong reaction from the WWE Universe, Logan Paul revealed that the original plans for LA Knight at SummerSlam are now scrapped by WWE.
Logan Paul revealed LA Knight as potential option before settling with Ricochet
On the latest edition of Impaulsive TV, The World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins visited the show as a special guest. During the show, Logan Paul revealed his original opponent for the Biggest Party of the Summer i.e. SummerSlam 2023. The Maverick revealed that before Ricochet, LA Knight was his original opponent for the show. However, later on, the plans got scrapped and the company had to choose Ricochet over it.
The YouTube sensation also reacted to the reaction given by the crowd to the Megastar. Logan said that the crowd absolutely adores him, and that thing pissed Logan off.
The Maverick also discussed his upcoming match against the One & Only and his desire to face him since their initial viral spot from Royal Rumble 2023.
LA Knight set to feature in Fatal 4-way on SmackDown leading to US Title picture at SummerSlam
However, even after Logan Paul vs LA Knight plans got scrapped, that doesn’t mean that the Megastar will be missing SummerSlam 2023. The company had recently announced that Knight will be competing in an Invitational match for the US title on the upcoming edition of SmackDown. The winner of that match will face Santos Escobar to earn an opportunity for the United State Championship at SummerSlam 2023.
Many fans had already speculated that the former Million Dollar Champion will go on to win both the fatal 4-way match and also against Escobar to set up a match against Thoery for the US title. Also, it is highly likely that the same could happen as the WWE Universe is all behind the push of LA Knight in the company.
After losing at the MITB ladder match it will be interesting to see how the clash between Theory & Knight will turn out. However, SummerSlam seems the perfect spot for Austin to drop his United State Championship. It will be intruding to see how things will turn out in the future and whether Knight could reach one step closer to becoming the Champion.
