Rey Mysterio lost to Santos Escobar on SmackDown following an injury stoppage

On tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown, Rey Mysterio suffered an injury while having his US Title Invitational finals match against Santos Escobar.

The legendary luchador and Santos Escober were exchanging blows continuously, but both superstars had to stop at some point because Rey Mysterio got an unwanted bump on the floor. Rey Mysterio’s head hit the floor after getting hit by Suicide Dive from Escobar. Later the match was stopped by the match referee Jessica Carr because Rey was in a fragile condition and he looked unable to continue the fight. Many fans were left concerned about his condition. With Mysterio no longer being able to compete, Escobar was declared the winner by default.

Update on the Hall of Famer’s injury

Fans of the Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio are concerned about his health condition. The incident was unexpected which makes it more serious because previously many stars had serious injuries in the ring which almost ended their career. Rey Mysterio also had a serious eye injury that almost sent him to retirement.
