The UFC featherweight division has not seen a changing of the guard for a long time now. Even though Alexander Volkanovski did not manage to secure the lightweight belt from his fight against Lightweight champ Islam Makhachev, he has pretty much cleaned up his own division, with contenders like Arnold Allen and Ilia Topuria yet to fight for the championship.
Topuria holds an impressive record of 14 wins and 0 losses in his professional MMA career with his last fight against Josh Emmet, the American Mixed martial artist gave a tough fight to the Georgian as the bout between the two ended in a 5-round win for Topuria via a unanimous decision.
Ilia Topuria slams Max Holloway and The Korean Zombie
Max Holloway went to war with “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in the UFC Singapore main event. The former featherweight champion, who was allegedly fighting with a heavy heart due to the tragic wildfires back in his home state of Hawaii, put on a show as he went toe-to-toe with Chan from the very first second of the fight.
The fight resulted in a win for Max Holloway by a KO/TKO within 23 seconds of the third round. “Give it up for ‘Korean Zombie,’ this guy’s a fucking legend!” Holloway shouted showing respect to the legend “He’s ‘The Korean Zombie’ for a reason. I’m just lucky my right hand landed before his.”

Ilia Topuria challenges Alexander Volkanovski
In the recent tweet by Ilia Topuria, the fifth-ranked featherweight fighter not only slammed Max Holloway and the Korean zombie but also fired shots at Alexander Volkanovski. Topuria has also called out Alex in the past, the UFC featherweight contender has downplayed Volkanovski’s UFC 290 win over Yair Rodriguez in the past.
