WWE superstar Edge bids his signed ring gear from last Toronto match to raise funds for Sami Zayn charity

As of the Friday smackdown on August 18, Edge has already competed in his WWE farewell bout against one of his best friends, Sheamus in his hometown Toronto.

Although Edge is about to retire, his links to the wrestling industry and talent from the independent circuit to WWE remains strong. That resurfaced again when Sami Zayn showcased some fantastic photos of the WWE gear autographed by Adam “Edge” Copeland.

Edge auctions signed WWE ring gear for Sami Zayn cause

WWE Superstar Sami Zayn is working with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) Foundation to provide crucial medical assistance to northwest Syria war victims. He started the camp “Sami for Syria” in 2017. In 2022, they launched their second mobile clinic which are assisting 100 people every day and visiting six more communities.

Recently, he shared a video making the target of a $175k donation. Many wrestlers, both past and current, may have had a hand in fulfilling the donation target and among them, “Edge” also took the initiative to donate towards the cause. Zyan posted in his feed that an auction with unique stuff is coming shortly. These include Edge’s studded ring jacket and Toronto Maple Leafs wrestling tights. Both are signed by Edge and state ” Toronto. 25 years” and the date.

“Edge is a fantastic guy.

He got special ring gear made for his last event in Toronto, wore it, signed it & is now auctioning it off, with 100% of proceeds going to SamiForSyria.com to fund our mobile clinics in Syria”, Zyan said in his post. He also told fans to be prepared for the bid session. He continued in comment saying that he didn’t even have to ask Edge to help; he just did it on his own.

WWE fans respond to Edge’s generous gesture

Edge is among the WWE wrestlers who has written his name on the Hall of Fame list. Edge is no stranger to the limelight and he is often there because of his personality. However, the recent news of his retirement has sparked a great deal of interest in the media.

So, following the gesture he made for Sami’s Syria campaign, he received praise from every WWE fan. The public is saluting both, Edge and Sami, by calling them “fantastic two” for their kind act. The winner of the auction will have to spend a lot to add this to their collection, but this ring gear is a great discussion piece.
