Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, is set to play a crucial role in the upcoming season. In 2022, he had an impressive season with 119 catches for 1,710 yards. As the wide receiver gears up for the new season ahead, the Dolphins have a lot of expectations from him.
However due to an icident that took place in June this year, the future of the wide receiver became uncertain. There were speculations of his suspension from the NFL which means he wouldn’t be able to play with the Dolphins or any other team. But the recent turn in the case has cleared the path for Tyreek Hill.
NFL choose to not punish Tyreek Hill over Marina incident
According to recent reports, the NFL has decided not to take any action against Tyreek Hill. This decision is related to an incident that occurred at a marina during the summer where the wide receiver slapped a man on the head.

The incident took place in June, but it was expected that the league might suspend the wide receiver for his misconduct. A month after the incident Tyreek expressed confidence that he was not worried about the suspension and would rather focus on the upcoming season.
“When I’m able to come here and play ball, man, I get a chance to get away from all that at the end of the day. So that’s the great thing about football. God has blessed me to be able to perform and do what I do, and I’m blessed and grateful for that, and I just can’t make bonehead mistakes like that.”
It seems like the wide receiver was right not to worry about the suspension as the league has decided not to take any action against him after settling with the Marina employee.
The attorney of the wide receiver shared that both parties have resolved their differences.
“The parties to the incident which occurred on June 18th, 2023 at the Haulover Marina involving Tyreek Hill have resolved their differences,” the statement read.
As the victim of the incident decided not to file a case against Tyreek, the NFL has also decided not to take action against him which means he will be able to play in the regular season and help his team like the previous season.
Exploring Tyreek Hill’s Marina incident
Back in June, pictures went viral in which Hill was seen hitting a Marina employee. The incident occurred at Haulover Marina while Hill was with his agent Drew Rosenhaus. First, he was seen putting his hands on the charter employee while moving toward the shore and later the altercation became more intense.
WPLG-TV reported that the wide receiver hit an employee during a disagreement.
Later, Andy Slater, the host of a Miami sports radio shared that Hill slapped the employee as he was stopping him from boarding without permission.
But the victim of the incident, the Marina employee, didn’t file charges against the wide receiver. Later it was reported that both parties have resolved their issues and now the league has also ended this matter by letting Hill go without any punishment for his misconduct.
Now, the wide receiver can focus solely on the upcoming regular season. Tyreek Hill will have to work a lot as the upcoming season is expected to be challenging, with strong teams like the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets in the AFC East.
