Namajunas broke her pinky finger in her right arm in the first round of the bout. She showcased superior footwork, but the strength and size advantage were quite evident. It remains to be seen what the former strawweight champion plans due to this setback in her flyweight debut. In her last bout, she lost to Carla Esparza via unanimous decision. Namajunas has beaten every other strawweight champion except Carla Esparza.

Erin Blanchfield defeated Taila Santos in the co-main event of UFC Singapore headlined by Max Holloway and Chang Sung Jung. Santos had already contested for the title against Valentina Shevchenko in a closely contested fight. Blanchfield had already called for a shot at the title and it remains to be seen what the UFC has in store for both Blanchfield and Fiorot.
