Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood has been out of action since he was first accused of sexual assault and rape by his girlfriend, Harriet Robson. The case came to light after Harriet uploaded images of bruises on her body claiming that Greenwood had caused them.
Though the charges against Greenwood were dropped in February 2023 Manchester United still refused to put him back on the pitch. He has not made an appearance for the club since January 2022. Mason Greenwood has now transferred to Getafe and the club’s manager disclosed that Jude Bellingham advised him to do so.
Fans doubting Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham are buddies
Jude Bellingham himself made a move to La Liga this season. The player arrived at Santiago Bernabeu on a six-year contract worth €103m. Getafe’s manager, Jose Bordalas told the press that Mason Greenwood was advised to join La Liga by Bellingham but fans refuse to believe so. Several tweets were posted by fans saying that it is not possible since the two have never played in the same team or even in the same league before.
Some are saying he is not associated with this and calling Mason Greenwood a fraud.

Getafe manager claims Jude Bellingham encouraged Mason Greenwood to join La Liga
Since Mason Greenwood was not called back to the squad by the Red Devils even after the charges against him were dropped it was clear that the player has no future with Manchester United. Though the player has not left United completely he has made a move to La Liga club Getafe on a loan for one year to spend some time away from the Premier League.
Mason Greenwood joined Getafe for €1m and the player will stay there till the end of the season. Jose Bordalas has told Radio Marca that the player is good friends with Jude Bellingham and he told him to join La Liga “Greenwood is friends with Bellingham, and he advised him to come to the Spanish league.”
Bordalas also told the media that he never expected to get him “It was a surprise, we never thought we could get a player like that” he said. Mason Greenwood will make his debut for the club on 17 September 2023 against Osasuna. Getafe fans have well received the player and he will try his hardest not to disappoint them.
