Conor McGregor was all praise for Glover Teixeira after he won the light heavyweight title against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267. The Brazilian would go on to lose the title at UFC 275 to Jiri Prochazka.
Recently, a video surfaced of Alex Periera showing his newly bought Lamborgini to friend and coach, Glover Teixeira. Hilariously, Teixeira and his wife Ingrid mistook it for a gift which would be corrected by the former middleweight champion.
Conor McGregor reacts to hilarious Alex Pereira prank
One of the people who reacted hilariously to the video was none other than the former two-division champion, Conor McGregor.
McGregor reposted the video that saw Alex Pereira prank Glover Teixeira, with a caption that said, “classic! Ya love to see it!” along with smiling and heart emojis. The ‘Notorious’ is known to be an active user on X (Formerly Twitter).
The video was not actually a prank as Alex Periera was showing off his newly bought Lamborgini but it was Teixeira and his wife who mistook it for a gift.
McGregor’s reaction was the same as any other normal person would have. “Poatan” had earlier gifted the former light heavyweight champion a Harley Davidson bike. No wonder he mistook the Lamborghini for a gift.
He coached the former two-division Glory kickboxing champion to win against Israel Adesanya at UFC 281. Periera was losing the bout on the scorecards when the former light heavyweight champion motivated him to a TKO victory in the fifth and final round. Periera would go on to lose the belt in a rematch with Adesanya at UFC 287.
Conor McGregor has massive respect for Glover Teixeira as he was one of the fighters who congratulated the Brazilian when he won the title aged 42. McGregor congratulated the Brazilian for being the oldest first-time champion in UFC history.
McGregor’s car collection
Former UFC champion Conor McGregor boasts a lavish car collection worth millions. He even has a ÂŁ2.9 million Lamborghini yacht. He will seemingly expand the collection as he gears up for a comeback from injury.
Before his victorious fight against Eddie Alvarez in 2016 for the lightweight title and become the first double champion, McGregor augmented his collection.
The Rolls Royce has his go-to vehicle. He bought a ÂŁ305,000 ‘Phantom Coupe’ after his win over Jose Aldo to win the featherweight title. He then got a personalized ÂŁ238,000 ‘Ghost’ which was presented to him by Rolls Royce. He owns at least three more Rolls Royce which cost over ÂŁ875,000 in total.
He also has Lamborghinis in his garage which includes two ‘Aventadors,’ a convertible worth ÂŁ276,000, and a ÂŁ185,000 worth ‘Huracan Avio.’ Conor McGregor’s electric cars include a ÂŁ114,200 BMW i8, a ÂŁ200,000 McLaren 650S, and a ÂŁ110,000 Mercedes-AMG S550 Coupe. Range Rovers, often customized and valued at ÂŁ90,000, were a staple.
However, his love for luxury cars had its share of notoriety. He was arrested in 2022 while driving his ÂŁ170,000 Bentley ‘Continental GT’ in Dublin for alleged dangerous driving. Interestingly, in 2021, he gifted his niece a Range Rover. The exact count of cars in his fleet remains unknown as the Irishman keeps gifting those to family and friends.
