Is Sami Zayn scheduled to compete for the Undisputed Universal Belt against Roman Reigns at WWE SuperShow?

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn have a lot of history over the past couple of years, as both were involved in critically acclaimed storylines surrounding The Bloodline. Their leader, Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, fought against Sami at the Elimination Chamber, where he came out on top.

While Sami and Kevin Owens dethroned the Usos to be crowned as the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, Elimination Chamber was the only opportunity Sami Zayn got at the title, and it seems like the two friends turned foes are set to face each other again.

Is Sami Zayn going to face Roman Reigns?

Everyone loved the time period when Sami Zayn was a part of The Bloodline, which gave us some hilarious segments and iconic matches. When Sami turned on The Tribal Chief, the chair shot was heard around the world. Sami and Roman would go on to feud for a few weeks, with their rivalry concluding at the Elimination Chamber, where Roman, with the help of The Bloodline, would defeat Sami.

While The Bloodline and Sami Zayn went their separate ways after Night of Champions, where Sami and KO successfully defended their gold against Roman and Solo, it does seem there’s some unfinished business between the two as Sami Zayn never got another shot at the Undisputed Universal Championship.

It’s been announced that Roman Reigns will wrestle at a SuperShow on October 14th at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. It’s been advertised that Reigns will defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn. This means he’s returning earlier than expected, and it’s a big deal as the Tribal Chief usually doesn’t do house shows. But he’s one of the biggest draws in the business, and one can expect T-Mobile Center to be sold out.

Update on Roman Reigns’ WWE return

Everyone has been speculating about the Tribal Chief’s return to WWE, and there were confirmations that Roman Reigns was advertised to appear on the 27th October edition of SmackDown Live. This would be just in time for the build-up to Crown Jewel, one of the bi-annual Saudi shows Roman usually wrestles in.

The Bloodline has been feuding with AJ Styles for the past few weeks, and John Cena put himself in the equation to even out the numbers on both sides. While everyone expects a match between Roman and AJ, which fans have been dying to see since their back-to-back classics in 2016, there’s still no confirmation on who will be the next one to wrestle the Tribal Chief.

While he was advertised to appear on the 27th October edition of SmackDown, it’s been confirmed that he’ll appear on October 13th at the BOK Center in Tulsa for SmackDown Live. We might be seeing The Tribal Chief earlier on our screens than we expected.

Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber was an instant classic in a true David versus Goliath story, and it seems we might get another match-up between the two, which is definitely going to deliver.

Who will be Roman Reigns’ next opponent? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
