Anthony Edwards claims to “walk off the court” if Timberwolves team attempts three-point shot during actual NBA match

Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert make a strong pair on the court. Anthony is a sizzling scorer while Rudy is a deadly defender. Both are devoted to the game and are trying to improve themselves with every practice.

Anthony Edwards, besides having excellent basketball skills, possesses a great sense of humor as well. He has revealed this side of his in an interview and has recently roasted one of his teammates with his hilarious comment on his bad long-range shooting.

Anthony Edwards jokes about Rudy Gobert’s three-point shots

It’s all brotherly love and mutual respect between Edwards and Gobert. Both are trying to evolve themselves as players and will be required to bring their A game in all their scheduled matches. In a recent video posted on social media, the Timberwolves crew was seen hanging out together after their practice session. Everyone was gathered and Edwards chimed in joking that although Rudy is practicing to shoot from a long range, he would still not wish Rudy to shoot 3 pointers in an actual game.

Edwards said, “Hey, record that today. Mark that today. October 3rd, Tuesday in Abu Dhabi. If Rudy shoots a three in a real NBA game, I’m walking off the court. Take me out.”

Rudy is actually bad at shooting from a long range just like many big men in the league. He has never made a 3-point shot in his entire career and isn’t in a position to even make a couple of 3-pointers. This is why Anthony the “Ant Man” is not sold out on the idea of Gobert making 3-pointers in a game. He said all this as a joke and meant no disrespect to Gobert, the former defensive player of the year.

Anthony Edwards believes in team unity

Anthony Edwards prioritizes winning as a team over individual success and accolades. He is a “we” before “me” guy, a quality found very rarely in NBA players nowadays who have a mind full of selfish goals and aspirations.

Just like Captain America, Anthony believes in winning and losing together as a team. He tries his best to uplift his team and be there for his teammates whenever they need him.

When asked about his humbleness and his team first attitude, Anthony replied saying, “I’m just growing up. You can’t do it without the team. It takes 15 guys to win a championship, it takes 5 guys on the court to produce and win.” His beautiful and honest reply spoke volumes about his character.
