Jermall Charlo, the inactive middleweight boxer seems confident that he’s going to be getting a title shot against undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez after his warm-up fight against Jose Benavidez Jr. Jermell Charlo suffered a brutal and dominant defeat at the Alvarez this week.
With his consistent pressure and immaculate display of skills, Alvarez emerged as the victor. However, Jermell Charlo’s brother, Jermall, hopes to get revenge against the Mexican champion, revealing an unfortunate situation.
Jermall Charlo discloses his kids are getting bullied in school
Jermell Charlo has faced great deal of criticism over the nature of his performance, as he was comprehensively beaten by the Mexican. To his credit, the American undisputed super-welterweight world champion did jump up two weight divisions for his bout against Alvarez but admittedly this is a difficult counter-argument to make for Jermall Charlo’s kids.
Jermall Charlo on his Instagram Live revealed that his kids are being bullied at school, following their uncle Jermell Charlo’s loss to Alvarez. “They don’t wanna go to school because everybody keeps trying to bully them because their uncle lost. That’s crazy…”They’re trying to bully my kids because their uncle lost,” Jermall said.
Charlo then instructed his children, who were with him during his Instagram livestream, to retaliate if provoked. He continued, “If any one of your kids touches my kids, I’m gonna tell my kids to go ahead and snap on y’all.”
Jermall Charlo wants revenge against Canelo Alvarez
Jermall Charlo says he’s going to be getting revenge against Canelo Alvarez soon for beating his brother. During his Instagram Live Charlo said that he would be coming back for revenge.
Jermall Charlo’s motivation for fighting Alvarez is driven by his desire to avenge his brother’s loss and potentially revive Jermell’s chances for a lucrative bout with Terence Crawford.
Jermall shouldn’t get his hopes up about being blessed by Canelo for a massive payday like the one his brother Jermell just picked up, which is rumored to be around 20 Million Dollars. Instead of Jermall counting on Canelo giving him a payday, he needs to return to 160 and defend his WBC title against Carlos Adames or vacate the belt already.
