“One of the greats”: Dominik Mysterio receives huge praise from former Women’s champions Mickie James

Mickie James, one of the most decorated women’s wrestlers of all time, has left her mark in three different decades, winning numerous titles across various promotions worldwide.

As an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of the business, she recently praised the rapid rise of Dominik Mysterio in WWE since his debut, highlighting his impressive improvement in such a short period of time.

Mickie James praises Dominik Mysterio progress

Dominik Mysterio has quickly become one of the most valuable assets of WWE and has received praise from several wrestling veterans and critics. His character was getting stale when he teamed up with his dad in an iconic rivalry that concluded at WrestleMania 39 with Rey Mysterio coming out on top.

Since turning heel at Clash of the Castle, Dom is becoming a top villain after aligning himself with The Judgement Day. WWE Legend Mickie James had a lot to say about his growth in WWE. She recently revealed on Busted Open saying, “The natural ability, the little things you can see him doing that he looks like he’s a 10-20 year veteran out there [on WWE TV].”

She went on to praise his body language in the ring. James added, “We’re going to look back, as we do in wrestling & 10 years from now you’re going to say Dominik Mysterio is one of the greats.” Even Dom’s Judgement Day mate Finn Balor was full of praise for the young luchador.

James to square off with Trinity at Bound For Glory

IMPACT Wrestling has been stacked with ex-WWE wrestlers and the same goes for their Women’s Division. After walking out of the WWE with Sasha Banks in a rather shocking fashion, Trinty Fatu FKA Naomi made her surprising debut in IMPACT Wrestling. It didn’t take time for her to win gold as she won the Knockouts Championship against Deonna Purrazzo at Slammiversary 2023.

She’s set to defend her title against Mickie James at Bound For Glory on 21st October in a first-time-ever match, pitting 2 ex-WWE superstars, who thrived in their former companies. Trinity Fatu described her upcoming match against the Legend as a dream match. She was quoted, “The one person I look forward to being in the ring with is Mickie, We never really got to…we’ve touched and been in the ring in WWE but never an angle or a real feud or anything like that.”
