Lamar Odom “The Candy Man” played a crucial role in the Lakers’ championship victories in 2009 and 2010. He was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2011. Lamar had crazy handles and made some of the best passes. He used his size and strength to his advantage. He was definitely a good player, but his drug addictions made his life very difficult.
In October 2015, Odom was hospitalized in a comatose state after being discovered unconscious in a Nevada brothel. He later sought treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. Now, Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband has taken on the position of CEO as his company partners with ZNest.
Lamar Odom becomes “Chief Creative Officer”
Lamar Odom has recently secured a great deal. His long-term assisted living facility called “Odom Senior Care” recently joined forces with “ZNest.com” which is an innovative internet platform that simplifies the processes of families finding senior living options.
“Odom Senior Care” shares similar values to the internet platform as it is a referral service that promises to deliver a “full spectrum of long-term residential care at affordable prices.”
As part of the deal Odom will be assuming the position of the “Chief Creative Officer” of the combined company, ZNest.com. His role as the “Chief Creative Officer” will be to educate and connect operators with people looking for senior living communities.
ZNest founder and CEO Bennett Kim said that the two companies have similar visions and so this partnership will likely be a success. “Both organizations strive to provide transparency in the world of senior living, aiming to connect families with senior living facilities that fit their personal needs,” Kim said in a statement.
Odom added, “We have the same goals, so it just made sense for us to work together.”
Why did Lamar and Khloe split up?
Lamar and Khloe had a tumultuous relationship. They met each other in 2009 and fell in love, grasping the attention of many fans. The duo’s journey was documented in the reality TV series “Khloe & Lamar”, which offered fans a glimpse of their life.
Although people saw them as two rich and happy celebrities, that was not the case. Their marriage had several deep-rooted problems. Reports of infidelity and Lamar Odom’s battles with drug addiction ruined their relationship. In 2013, Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce, leading to the beginning of a painful chapter for both parties.
However, their story took an unexpected turn. The divorce proceedings faced delays and the couple’s relationship got better. But that was only for a short time. In 2015 Lamar Odom suffered from a near fatal drug overdose. Khloe stayed by Lamar’s side and made the medical decisions for him. But Khloe was not able to continue the relationship anymore and the couple god Divorced in 2016. Their marriage was a sad story which did not have a happy ending.
