Though this looks like a big jump, it is still very low when compared to his Atletico Madrid salary, which was $305,000 a week.

Joao Felix was being paid a mere $8,000 a week at FC Barcelona, which is extremely low. The Portuguese international was loaned out to Premier League club Chelsea last season, and he was making $305,000 weekly during his time with the Blues. When asked about his transfer, Felix told the press that Barcelona was the ideal place for him.
“Yes, the truth is, I gave up a significant amount of money from my salary. But well, I needed to change. I needed to go to a place where I could practice my football, and as I said, I always believed that this would be the ideal place. Things are going well, and I had to make that effort to have joy playing again,” he said.
Felix was also asked about making a permanent move to the Blaugranes, to which he said, “Well, for me, it depends on how the season ends. Afterwards, Barcelona is the one who has to negotiate with Atleti, and that depends on Atleti if they want to make things easier or not.”
Whether or not Joao Felix will make a permanent move to Barcelona is unknown, but for now, the player is finally getting what he deserves at his new club.
