After their last reports about spending the weekend together, the couple made an unforeseen appearance in the US sketch show, Saturday Night Live (SNL). With a clever twist, their friends basically made a comedic projection of Taylor Swift’s rising popularity in the NFL community.
Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift surprise fans with unannounced cameos
In the premier episode for the 49th season of SNL, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce and singer, Taylor Swift made a fleeting cameo appearance, that have paved their ways through the media headlines. Moreover, this is not Kelce’s first in Saturday Night Live as the player had appeared as a host in March of this year.
Taylor Swift was seen broaching the rapper Ice Spice, meanwhile Travis Kelce popped up in a comedic skit going on in the NFL community regarding their probable relationship that mostly steals the spotlight of the matches.
Pete Davidson was the host for the night in this hysterical episode of SNL where he was the “Swiftie” himself appearing as an analyst between the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles. The so called Swiftie fetched a pink cowboy hat matching with pink clothing from Taylor Swift’s stock. With a disappointing expression, Pete expressed about being “devasted” for “no sign of Blondie”, adding “starting to wonder why I’m even here.” as the singer was supposed to show up for “Kelce’s brother Jason”.
The scene was soon concluded with Kenan Thompson expressing his weariness over the theatrics of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s romance and wanted to focus have someone over, “who would actually want to talk about football” because that has not been possible with the “Swift era” in NFL. To this accordance, the scene was soon transitioned to Kelce boldly saying, “Yes please!”.
The surprise appearance of the couple received enthusiastic reactions from the Swifties all over the globe as if this is exactly what they needed.
Friends see Swift-Kelce as a good match
Following the SNL appearance, the couple was seen out together in public for the first time and given the couple is reportedly spending a lot of times together, US Weekly has also confirmed their “relationship is going great”.
For a duo that is just “getting to know each other” they sure seem to be smitten over each other. Travis mentioned in one of his podcasts, “It feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and right now I’m even more on top of the world” when she was brought up.
The two seems to have very subtly dealt with the publicity about their relationship, besides also maintaining their respective professional fields. This is what gives them being a “good match” for each other based on their friends. According to them, “They’re supportive of each other and they don’t have to be by each other’s side all the time and that feels comfortable” and “They plan to carve out moments to spend together to get to know each other better”
