According to Dragunov, Cody Rhodes made the contest more interesting by including Trick Williams.
The main event featured a tough battle between Dragunov and Hayes for the NXT Championship. But as Trick Williams’ music started playing, the tide of the contest suddenly turned. Williams was supposed to participate in a Fatal Four-Way battle before he was attacked. This became a three-way fight, which Hayes ultimately won. But it was not known yet who assaulted Williams then.

Hayes said that he hasn’t seen any proof linking him to the on-air assault on his friend. “Why did I do it when there’s no proof that I did it? What a crazy question I’m telling you, man, it feels like a witch hunt, it is crazy.”, Caremlo said.
Trick Williams announces to share video after shocking return to NXT
The main event featured a violent battle between Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship. When it seemed like Hayes was going to win, Trick Williams made an unexpected entrance. Unfortunately for Williams, he was assaulted backstage and will not be able to fight for the NXT title.
Due to Williams’s absence, Hayes was crowned champion after winning their match on October 17. Hayes was focused on the bout, but he was distracted when his buddy Trick showed up, allowing Dragunov to retain the NXT Title with a silly move.
Trick Williams made a bold statement after the contest when he addressed Carmelo Hayes in the ring. For next week, he vowed to return again and show the crowd a video footage of who assaulted him before the Fatal Four-Way combat. Wrestling fans believe this is William’s buddy Carmelo, who stabbed him backstage, although it could also be someone else. Even if the 29-year-old celebrity rejected the assertion, the truth will emerge next week.
