Thierry Henry believes Kylian Mbappe must reject Real Madrid to stay at PSG to win UCL trophy: “Finish what you started”

With Paris Saint Germain’s qualification to the knockout round of the Champions League, Mbappe might lean towards staying in France for the season at the least.

Thierry Henry talks on Kylian Mbappe’s future

While many believe Kylian Mbappe should move to Real Madrid to achieve his full potential, former Arsenal and Barcelona legend Thierry Henry wants Mbappe to stay in France. 

While talking in the Champions League matchday program, French legend Thierry Henry has warned Mbappe, who recently matched Henry’s record, of a transfer, and has called for him to stay in Paris until the season ends. Henry said that Mbappe started this mission and cannot leave without ending it, amidst talk of his transfer to Real Madrid in the January window.

Henry said, “If I’m Kylian Mbappe, I’m not going. You want to finish what you started. Why would you want to leave? You still have to win the league. He loves PSG, you have to understand that. He loves his club, he’s from there… I want him to stay until the end.”

During the Champions League group stage, Mbappe became the player to score the second highest goals at 25 years, only behind Messi. With PSG’s qualification to the next round confirmed, Mbappe might consider staying until the season, rejecting Madrid’s proposal for now.

Kylian Mbappe linked with a transfer to Real Madrid

Despite Real Madrid denying having talks with Kylian Mbappe regarding a transfer, their desire to buy Mbappe is pretty much clear to everyone. According to various news reports, Real Madrid have given Mbappe an ultimatum tied with an offer, after which Madrid do not plan on stretching this saga.

The Mbappe to Madrid saga started right when the former AS Monaco attacker joined PSG, and has accelerated every transfer window since then. From club statements to the President’s intervention, this saga has been the most cracking and everlasting.

However, the Spanish giants look to put the final nail in the coffin as early as January, as they prepare a ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Mbappe. The offer apparently comes with a condition that Mbappe has to choose his route in January, or the door to Santiago Bernabeu shuts forever.
