This transformation aimed to introduce a new villainous character, portrayed as smug and arrogant, depicting him as a selfish and evil individual. Unfortunately, this theme failed to resonate with the WWE audience. In an interview with Metro, Knight shared his view on the idea of a change back to LA Knight.

“My reaction was F Yeah, immediately. Let’s make that happen. Because I don’t know who or what the hell Max Dupri is! Now, look, given the time, could I have done that? Could I have made it work? I’m sure I could have. Now, would it have ever been anything like we’re doing right now? No. Because at the end of the day, that wasn’t me. It wasn’t for me,” said Knight.

Knight’s ability to connect with people, has been his saving grace and it worked for him, becoming one of WWE’s top merchandise sellers, and getting to face Roman Reigns on WWE’s Crown Jewel premium live event.

LA Knight’s impending feud with AJ Styles

In the latest episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Knight was attacked by AJ Styles. The duo of LA Knight and Randy Orton were on the receiving end of a beatdown from The Bloodline during the event until The Phenomenal One made his long-awaited comeback.

The superstar attacked Roman Reigns and The Bloodline with the help of Randy Orton and LA Knight. However, at the end he went on to attack The Megastar, this surprising turn has led many fans to believe that the 46-Years-Old might have turned heel in the company now.

The change of character is a great surprise for fans, but some fans speculate that it is possible that the former WWE Champion’s attack on LA Knight is a strategic move to turn him into a heel. Although, it is still not confirmed, there is rumors that LA Knight vs AJ Styles will soon take place in the foreseeable future.
