Brother Jake Paul may have moved forward in advancing his boxing career, but Logan Paul has kept his interest in every sector of the fighting world. Recently, he made a bold statement about something that happened on the press conference day of UFC 296. He also took a shot at the Covington who failed to impress the fighting community.
Logan Paul takes a shot at Colby Covington
After recently winning the WWE US title, Logan Paul is already talking about how he got his name elevated to new heights in the wrestling world. But there are also many other factors for which he got his name in the sports entertainment world. Paul has always been straight-forward with his harsh words, defining what is right or wrong according to him after combining facts.
On the UFC 296 main event night, Leon Edwards dominated the whole 5 rounds against Colby Covington and defended the title easily. Prior to the fight, “Choas” dragged the UFC welterweight champion’s demised father into the conversation. This was not appreciated by many of the fight fans followers, who criticized Colby’s wording and action to sell the fight.
Same goes to Logan Paul when, on his YouTube podcast Impaulsive, the discussion was made on Covington’s action during the press conference and after the fight. Despite losing, the 35-year-old had called it the easiest fight of his career, and Logan criticized how he failed to secure even a single win from three championship fight offers.
Logan first accused Colby saying, “Leon Edward’s father, his murdered father, is correct, and he’s using it for entertainment to get people to buy into the fight.” Then he questioned his ability in big fights. “But when you double and triple down on something like that, you start to question.”
Logan believes Covington doesn’t deserve title fights. He went on to say, “Or you’re just an actual **** douchebag who doesn’t deserve this title shot for at least the fourth time. This is Colby’s third shot at the title, I believe. It’s got to be his third shot, right? I mean, who you know, especially with a performance like that, like embarrassing, and then to say that you thought you won the fight? I’m sorry, you’re a moron.”
Now with this statement, some fans came forward and started to suggest something that had never been suggested to Covington before.
Fight fans debate if Colby Covington should face Logan Paul next
The debate among fans has already started if Colby Covington and Logan Paul should match up next in the boxing ring. Many fans gave mixed reactions to both fighters competing against each other in the boxing ring or in an MMA cage.
One of the fans commented, “He’s certainly a fighter. He can easily beat any old WW or any old LW-turned WW. He just wasted his prime time on the sidelines for no reason. Dude could have made himself way more money.” He actually believes Covington can still beat some experienced welterweights or veteran lightweights turned welterweights.
Another fan suggested Logan’s brother Jake Paul could be a better option for the “Chaos.”.

If Colby is smart, he should call Jorge out of retirement for another fight. The fight sells itself because of the bad blood between them. Jorge would take the fight 100%. Even Dana would do it just to give Colby another win.”
