For WrestleMania 40, the Beast is challenged by ‘The Ring General’ Gunther. Having achieved the record-breaking title hold for WWE’s Intercontinental Championship, Gunther is all set to face Brock Lesnar.

Gunther wants a clash against Brock Lesnar at the greatest event of wrestling, WrestleMania. The Beast has now headlined WrestleMania 6 times, and he last appeared on WWE television when Lesnar was involved in a rivalry against the American nightmare Cody Rhodes. Cody faced Brock in Summer Slam 2023, where Rhodes won the match against Lesnar.
Gunther has been maintaining a streak on his title run, as he is the longest reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of the modern era. The 36-year-old superstar has been breaking records and writing his name into the history books of wrestling. The Ring General has proved his superiority, but he is still not done, as he wants to face Brock Lesner for WrestleMania 40.
WWE has some big events coming in 2024, among them Royal Rumble is just a few weeks away. There have been questions about Brock’s status and when he will return. During WrestleMania 31, 2015 the three superstars faced each other to decide the champion among themselves. During WrestleMania 2016, the match was No Holds Barred Street Fight, The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose used every items he got his hands on to beat Lesnar in any way possible. The match ended with the Beast Incarnate delivering Ambrose with an F5 over the chairs.
