As the NFL playoffs approach, veteran defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh seeks a return to the league. Eager to make an impact, Suh has attracted the attention of at least one team, prompting them to arrange a free agent visit.
With a career marked by disruptive prowess, including five Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro nods, Suh’s potential reentry into the NFL could be a turning point for the player. For now, the Miami Dolphins appear to be the team most interested in signing the DT.
Is Ndamukong Suh set for Dolphins reunion?
As the playoff approaches multiple NFL teams are actively adjusting their rosters, including the Miami Dolphins. According to recent reports, the Dolphins might be interested in signing DT Ndamukong Suh.
The team held a meeting with Suh who is currently a free agent. This meeting took place on Wednesday and the outcome of the discussion has not been disclosed yet.
This meeting has sparked speculation about the potential deal between Suh and the Dolphins. Ndamukong Suh, turning 37 in January, has not played in the current NFL season.
Even if he joins the Dolphins, it is expected that he will have a limited role in the season although he can help the team win the Super Bowl. In his last NFL appearance in 2022, he helped the Eagles in their run for the Super Bowl.
But Ian Rapoport of NFL Network stated that there is “nothing imminent” regarding the DT signing with Miami. Ndamukong Suh’s potential reunion with the Dolphins is under consideration but there’s nothing confirmed yet.
Ndamukong Suh’s previous Dolphins stint
Ndamukong Suh played for the Dolphins in the 2015-17 seasons, making 48 starts and achieving remarkable success. The DT made 15.5 sacks, 37 tackles for loss, and 48 QB hits.
Overall, during his 13-year NFL career, he played for five NFL teams. He was the second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and spent his first five seasons with the Lions. The DT earned four Pro Bowl nods during this time.
In 2016, while playing for the Dolphins the DT earned his fifth Pro Bowl selection and was also recognized as an All-Decade player for the 2010s. After leaving the Miami Dolphins, Suh played for the Rams and the Bucs and earned a Super Bowl in 2020 with the Bucs. Then the DT played with the Eagles in the 2022 season, taking a backup role during the team’s Super Bowl run.
As the playoffs of this season approaches, there are chances that Ndamukong Suh might join the Dolphins again. He can be a great addition to the team and help them achieve their Super Bowl goals.
