The Cristiano Ronaldo – Connor McGregor crossover has the internet on its feet as fans find the hilarious side of the ringside chat between the two greats. Ronaldo and McGregor were seated side by side during Anthony Joshua’s fight against Otto Wallin during the ‘Day of Reckoning’ event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
However, the internet is having more of Ronaldo and McGregor rather than the fight, as the UFC star was seen having a very animated interaction with the Al Nassr star. Since his move to the middle east, Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in many events in Saudi Arabia, paving the way for many global stars into the country.
Ronaldo and McGregor engage in ringside conversation
Cristiano Ronaldo and Connor McGregor have united two separate fan bases with their recent outing. However, fans saw the hilarious side of the ringside chat between the two superstars, as it looked like only McGregor had things to talk about while Ronaldo looked to be a bit awkward during the interaction.
Ronaldo and McGregor were spotted comparing their watches, as the UFC star jokingly asked, “Who’s winning this one?!”, cementing both of their attraction towards high end accessories.
However, fans were left in stitches as Ronaldo looked very uninterested in the whole conversation, which made a fan write, “ronaldo is thinking god save me”. Another user on X, formerly Twitter, wrote, “Ronaldo knows it’s a long night for his right ear”. Apparently, social media has not seen Ronaldo “this uncomfortable” before.
This was not the first time McGregor and Ronaldo met ringside in Saudi Arabia, as the duo also shared the spotlight back in October during Tyson Fury’s spectacular bout against Francis Ngannou.
Cristiano Ronaldo amused by Frank Warren’s Arsenal signing suggestion
Although Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr move seems to be the final chapter in his club career, as the Portuguese declared he moved on as he “won it all” in Europe, few still believe there is a bit of European football left in the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
However, during the event, boxing promoter and a huge Arsenal fan, Frank Warren, seemed to have thrown an old rumor of Ronaldo joining the North London club back into the light. While seated along with Ronaldo, Warren jokingly claimed, “He’s signing for Arsenal” in front of the camera.
Ronaldo straightaway laughed Warren’s statement off, as CR7 looks to be settled in Saudi Arabia, as he leads the Saudi Pro League with 35 goals and 13 assists in 42 games.
