Khabib Nurmagomedov’s gruelling training session leaves trainees in shambles, with cousin Umar  pleading for his return to Russia: “Buy for him ticket and send him”

Khabib Nurmagomedov, renowned for his undefeated record in the UFC and often hailed as one of the greatest fighters in the sport, has seamlessly transitioned into a coaching role post-retirement. Currently guiding the lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, Khabib’s coaching methods recently took the internet by storm.

The Eagle’s intense coaching style has attracted widespread attention. Young fighters under Nurmagomedov’s guidance appear to be stressed out during training sessions, with one of his cousins even suggesting sending him back to Russia.

Khabib’s demanding training session leaves trainees in tatters

Khabib retired undefeated and as the undisputed lightweight champion. He held the record of 29-0, 11 wins by submission and 8 by knockouts. He dominated every fighter in the octagon, and laid wrath on them for showing the courage to challenge him for the UFC Gold.

To achieve this level of greatness he must have worked really hard in the training sessions. After adopting the coaching role, the trainee fighters now seemed to be fed-up by his exhausting methods.

An exhausted trainee said, “he kills everybody everyday(by training).” Even one of his cousins said, “somebody get him a ticket and send him back to Russia.” Khabib’s trainees even called him crazy for still training hard and making them do the same.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s workout routine

Khabib, renowned for his world-class grappling and striking skills, maintains a rigorous daily training routine that might astonish many athletes. Despite retiring from the sport, his passion for athleticism and the gym remains admirable. The Dagestani superstar starts his mornings with a run followed by a 90-minute cardio session.

In the afternoons, he practices MMA, and evenings are dedicated to grappling. His daily regimen includes weightlifting, calisthenics, lifting rocks, and shadow boxing. Khabib advises young fighters to enhance agility by doing 50 pull-ups daily for a year. After these intense training sessions, he emphasizes the importance of recovery, stating, “For me, recovery is sleep.”

This is not the first time when Khabib is in headlines for his training methods. Earlier he said, “they can cry if they want but will have to complete the session.”

It is not easy to be a UFC Champion and a lot of work goes into it which is not the cup of tea for everyone. Even after retiring Khabib remains to be involved with the game and his camarade Islam is on his way to break his records.
