Tyron Woodley claims he offered Georges St-Pierre lucrative deal to entice MMA return for a super fight

Tyron Woodley, one of the most dominant fighters in the UFC, became the UFC welterweight champion and defended it four times. After losing four fights in a row against Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington, and Vicente Luque, Woodley said goodbye to the UFC.

Though Tyron always kept his desire to fight in an MMA cage, he also tried his luck in boxing while competing against Jake Paul twice. The second time he got knocked out and the first time he suffered a unanimous loss. However, this time, Woodley is calling out MMA’s biggest legend.

Woodley claims he offered St-Pierre a lucrative deal to fight him

Tyron Woodley is looking to make a big move once again in the MMA cage. The target for Tyron this time is a former two-division champion of the UFC, now on the list of the greatest of all time. “The Chosen One” recently claimed he had offered a lucrative deal to Georges St-Pierre to make his biggest MMA return at the age of 42.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Woodley expressed his desire to fight against GSP, which the later former welterweight champion declined. He also said they will push for 8-figure numbers, which, which according to him, is a lot of money.

Woodley said, “Like Georges St-Pierre, when I offered him a dumb bag, he said, ‘No. I’m not in that world anymore… When I say dumb, I’m talking pushing the eight figures, a lot of money.” Woodley later also claimed they are not just looking to promote MMA but more than that. “We’re promoting all things art; we’re not just doing mixed martial arts.” Via TMZ.

St-Pierre last fought in 2017 against defending champion Michael Bisping for the middleweight championship belt. After winning, GSP finally called out his career in MMA. The 42-year-old is now looking to make a bout against one more retired fighter from the UFC.

Tyron Woodley wants to face Jake Paul first in MMA

Tyron Woodley is coming up with one of the biggest trilogy to shut down doubts about him in combat sports. Woodley believes he can still turnaround in fighting match-ups. After losing against Jake Paul twice already, the former UFC welterweight champion wants to bring Jake into his playground.

Woodley, with a reminder, made a statement about Jake Paul competing in an MMA cage. Tyron said, “I’m the one that did the numbers with you. I’m the one who had the crazy millions and millions of views in the press conference. I’m the one who was a five-time champion. I’m the one that took the fight on two weeks’ notice.” Via MMA Junkie.

What do you think 42-year-old Woodley’s next move in fighting is? Should he give himself a chance in boxing or make a comeback in MMA?
