Jude Bellingham’s father, Mark highlights major milestone in younger son Jobe’s career: “It’s a decent start”

Mark Bellingham must be an absolutely proud father, given that both of his sons, Jude Bellingham and Jobe Bellingham, continue to rise in the world of football pretty rapidly. While Jude continues to be one of the most valuable footballers on and off the field, his brother Jobe is enjoying his regular playing time for Sunderland.

Mark Bellingham highlighted his son Jobe’s recent milestone via social media and has appreciated his son’s start with Championship side Sunderland. With Kopa Trophy winner Jude on equal footing with superstars like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, and Jobe on the back of a great start, Mark must have been enjoying having a massive chest in recent times.

Jude Bellingham’s father Mark highlights son Jobe’s latest career milestone

Jobe Bellingham joined Sunderland from his boyhood club Birmingham City in June, and has been an instant sensation at the Stadium of Light since his arrival, fueling rumors of him being scouted by Real Madrid.

Having played in 26 matches for Birmingham, he has already been picked to start 22 times for Sunderland this season and played in his 50th professional football match on Boxing Day.

With Jobe doing well for Sunderland bagging four goals and an assist already, Mark Bellingham couldn’t help but remind everyone of his age. Mark took to X, formerly Twitter, to post about Jobe’s latest career milestone, and made everyone note that his younger son is only 18.

Mark Bellingham posted on X, and wrote, “Fifty first team appearances as a second year scholar. It’s a decent start”, putting light to his son’s achievement.

Jobe made his first team debut at Birmingham when he was 16 years old, and the time period was  just 69 days apart from his brother Jude’s debut.

Mark Bellingham’s astonishing non-league record

While his sons are always in the footballing world’s spotlight, one should also light the bulb on Mark Bellingham’s football career. In contrast to his son Jude, who is now in his fourth campaign of professional football in two different and big leagues, Mark never made it above non-league football.

However, Mark has only gone on and scored over 700 goals in non-league football, and has played for 15 non-league teams, scoring his 700th goal when he was 40 years old. Mark also had a staggering 48-goal season during his time.

Mark continued to play non-league football until 2019, when he was 43, maintaining a work-football-life balance. Mark is currently working as the agent to both his sons Jude and Jobe.

Do you think Jobe can surpass Jude’s achievements by the time he is his elder brother’s current age? Let us know what you think in the comments.
