Shaquille O’Neal, one of the NBA’s most physical and strongest players once hilariously revealed how he pickpocketed some money from a famous footballer’s wallet after finding it on the ground, in one of the poshest residential complexes in the world.
The three-time Finals Most Valuable Player and four-time NBA Champion spoke to Victoria Beckham, the wife of football superstar and businessman, David Beckham on the ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, revealing the hilarious story.

Shaq, in the presence of Victoria Beckham hilariously recalled the incident on the talk show which took place a few years back. As the pair of James Corden and Victoria bore witness to Shaq’s narration of the incident, he narrated how the incident happened in the first place.
According to Shaq, the incident occurred when the 7’1” beast was walking through Beverly Hills when he came across a very pristine wallet. Shaq’s usual tendency, as he narrates, would have been to take the money in the wallet for himself and throw off the wallet.
However, upon further inspection, he was surprised to find out that he had football sensation, David Beckham’s wallet and decided to hand the accessory to the footballer independently.
After he hand-delivered the wallet to Beckham, the footballer instantly noticed some missing money which he asked Shaq about. Shaq denied any wrongdoing with a gleeful smile. The comical incident broke Corden, Victoria Beckham, and the audience into laughter.
Shaq revealed his “jealousy” of Beckham
In November earlier this year, the basketball legend revealed he had some sort of jealousy towards David Beckham. At the Las Vegas GP, the now famed NBA on TNT analyst recalled how he used to be envious of the football superstar’s global fandom and financial success.
Shaq, at the time. was driven with the ambition to become the world’s highest paid athlete and at the time, Beckham was one of the world’s highest earning athletes. Shaq jokingly called the jealousy between the pair a professional one and added that now they were great friends and also called Beckham ”a cool guy”.
The Lakers legend also empathized with the struggles the footballer had to face on a personal and professional level, after watching David Beckham’s Netflix documentary and urged fans to watch the same.
The two superstars have done really well for themselves on financial levels with Shaq being a highly proficient investor in multiple businesses and David Beckham as the owner of MLS side Inter Miami which recently signed Lionel Messi in a shocking move.
