Just days before Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl game against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas, his wife Brittany Mahomes made a big announcement. Brittany Mahomes, who is also a close friend with Taylor Swift, is making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut.
The 28-year-old shared her pictures from the shoot in Brazil on her social media account and her mother-in-law Randi Mahomes just used six words to show her reaction.

Brittany Mahomes is going to be the star for SI Swimsuit’s 60th anniversary issue, which will reportedly be released in May. Brittany has a huge fan following because of her husband, Patrick Mahomes and it surged after her friendship with Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift.
After Brittany shared her first look of the shoot sporting a red bikini, she received critical responses from many fans. However, all of her friends came to her support and admired her for the shoot.
Among them, one of the highlight personalities was Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes. She commented under her bikini pictures and wrote, “Holy moly that rocks!!! Go girl.”
Mama Mahomes has already approved the shoot of Brittany. As for Brittany herself she expressed gratitude for getting this opportunity.
“I’m truly just so humbled and still in disbelief,” she said of the spread. “As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in [the SI Swimsuit Issue]. I’m just so grateful for this opportunity.”
Brittany Mahomes was herself an athlete as she took her college soccer career pro when she played at UMF Afturelding in Iceland. Later she became a certified professional trainer after getting a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
Along with her husband, she has also contributed to multiple funds and charities. She is also a minority owner on the Kansas City Current, a professional women’s soccer team in the NWSL.
Brittany receives support from NFL WAGS
After several fans criticized Brittany Mahomes for her shoot and mocked her by stating she got all of this because of her husband, a fellow NFL WAG came to her support.
Kelly Stafford, wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, defended Brittany Mahomes. She posted a photo of Brittany and some other fellow NFL WAGs on her Instagram account and wrote a long caption to show her admiration for them.
“These are just a few of the many women who I look up to… the ones that have used their position in this life to build businesses, give back, and overall do good in this world,” she wrote.
She emphasized the importance of utilizing one’s platform for good, regardless of how it was attained, encouraging gratitude and positive action.
“Don’t be ashamed of how you received it, be grateful and use it,” she encouraged. “Use it to support your family, use it to give back, use it to create positive change, use it for good. Even if you misstep along the way, stay true to yourself and your values and you will do more good than bad.”
Brittany faced criticism suggesting that her inclusion in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue was solely due to her husband’s fame. Kelly’s post aimed to counter such criticism, emphasizing Brittany’s agency and her own contributions beyond her husband’s fame.
“It’s hard not to feel ashamed that what you have is because of someone you are married to,” Kelly continued. “I know Matthew gave me this platform but I’ve used it to create a community…So let’s keep lifting one another up.”
Brittany herself addressed criticism on her Instagram story, acknowledging “people will dislike you” and other “people will love you.” She added, “Don’t let any of that define you KEEP SHINING and being YOU.”
While some fans will continue to hate her, Brittany Mahomes is focusing on her life. Along with all her business ventures, she is also a mom of two. So, her focus must be on her career and family instead of negative comments.
