Fortnite streamer Clix was in the news after comparing streaming with traditional 9–5 jobs. This was after Hasan Abi claimed it was soul-draining to interact with viewers for that long.
Reacting to the statement, streamer YourRage has shared his opinion. He does not seem to agree with what Clix said, having first-hand experience of working a regular job before.
YourRage rips at Clix for comparing streaming with full-time jobs
In a video, we see YourRage speaking about the Clix statement. He said comparing any 9-to-5 job with streaming is not okay. Some jobs are not particularly taxing, while others require your utmost attention and drain your energy. He also speaks about his time doing part-time jobs at UPS and Walmart, assisting a pediatrician, and so on.
According to him, the hardest part is doing something that you do not want to do for money. Streaming is something that he enjoys, and he has no qualms, even if it stresses him out. He points out that he has paid ‘millions’ of dollars for it and expects it to come with some form of challenge. ‘If it were not hard, everybody would do it’ he adds in the end.
Clix was not the only one claiming streaming was as hard as a regular job. Political streamer Hasan Abi said that streaming for 9 hours straight ‘sucks the soul out of you’. He also referred to this draining his social battery and being unable to socialize after long working hours.
Later on, Asmongold, another Twitch streamer, agreed to Hasan’s statement. He pointed out that many streamers are introverts, which makes communicating with an audience extremely difficult, and that’s the hard thing about live-streaming.
Pokimane chimes in on the Difference between streaming and full-time jobs
Another popular streamer who goes by Pokimane playfully poked in the streaming is ‘hard’ conversation. She stated that streaming is challenging when one does it from a laptop, reminiscing about her earlier days when her laptop handled the streaming duties. Here, she was speaking about her challenges in the early days as a Twitch streamer.
But she was quick to state that streaming is ‘by far’ not the most difficult of jobs. Clearly, her statement earlier was a lighter take on what Hasan Abi or Clix had to say about it. Many users on Twitter shared the same sentiment that there was nothing physically taxing about the job.
Hasan Abi’s statement seems to gain traction every single day, with popular streamers sharing their thoughts. Do you feel streaming is hard? Let us know in the comments below.
