Helldivers 2 had a great launch last month. From selling 1 million copies in less than 72 hours to getting to the top of Steam’s best-selling chart, it is breaking records.
Everyone’s loving it, except for Dr. Disrespect. The popular Twitch streamer shared this surprising fact recently. And that has left the audience scratching their heads as to why.
Dr. Disrespect hates Helldivers 2, but why?
During a Q&A session on Twitch, someone asked if Dr. Disrepect had played Helldivers 2. His response was swift, and he said, ‘I’m not playing the game’. He goes on to explain why he does not like the smash-hit title. Shooting aliens is something that he does not enjoy. He may be known for his hijinks with Call of Duty, but Helldivers 2 is not for him.
Even though he is known for his love for Call of Duty, the last year has been rough for Dr. Disrespect. He famously uninstalled Warzone from his stream after Activision removed TimTheTatman’s skin due to his comments related to the LGBTQ community.
He was also critical of Call of Duty for focusing heavily on skins. He said he misses the time when the game was only about enjoying multiplayer duels with your friends. Now Activision spends ‘millions’ of dollars on collaboration and in-game cosmetics, and their marketing campaign reveals that, he added.
Shroud shares funny gameplay of Helldivers 2 gameplay
Meanwhile, Shroud, another popular streamer known for his impeccable gameplay in Valorant and CS: GO, was seen struggling to play Helldivers 2. It was difficult for the audience to digest the clip, as Shroud is one of the most skilled streamers in the gaming community.
In the clip, we see Shroud getting killed by a grenade thrown by one of his friends. He missed the target and, unfortunately, landed on Shroud. The very next moment, we see a stratagem blow up prematurely before reaching its destination. Some of these may be due to the early bugs present in the game.
Earlier on, the game had some issues with matchmaking. Reports of the servers getting overloaded were rife as loads of players were playing the game. Later on, the developers were notified that updates were underway to improve the quality of the game on all platforms.
