The Boston Celtics extend their winning streak to four games now after a blowout victory of 127-112 over the Phoenix Suns. The Celtics’ big three, Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford, combined for 87.
Jaylen Brown was the one leading the charge and showed his consistency throughout the game, but he somehow managed to get bashed on social media by the fans, not because of the performance but because of a cryptic tweet he shared after the game.
Jaylen Brown’s cryptic post-game tweet draws criticism
Jaylen Brown gave a dominant performance Thursday night against the Suns, with a game-high performance for his team. Just like Brown’s onslaught on the Suns, the fans kind of did the same thing to Brown after his cryptic post on social media, X, which backfired for Brown while the fans loved it.
Brown posted a tweet that said, “Some of the stuff you could say about me last year, you can’t say anymore.” to which the entire fandom couldn’t keep their calm and started joking about it, continuing the thread and sharing it all over social media platforms.
A fan referred to Brown’s tweet, mentioning that he’s still ringless and still cannot score with his left hand.
Another fan mentioned the same thing, that you couldn’t use your left hand back then and you still cannot, emphasizing Brown’s inability to score from the left.
Another one emphasised that he still doesn’t have any rings, and it’s been 4 years since then, and we can still say that.
Celtics blow past Suns with Jaylen Brown’s dominance
Jaylen Brown put on a show at the Garden on Thursday night, scoring a game-high 37 points with 5 three-pointers and supporting his fellow teammates, Jason Tatum, who scored 26 points, and Al Horford, who scored 24 points. The Celtics overperformed the Suns from beyond the arc, sinking 25 three-pointers.
With Kristaps Porzingis’ absence, the Celtics still remain the top team with the best record this season. With a great balance between offence and defence, the Celtics are thriving to enter the playoffs as the favourites to win the title this year.
The backlash by the fans is just harmless criticism and a medium to have fun, but Brown has important things to deal with as the regular season is on the verge of ending and heading into the playoffs.
