WNBA’s Choice To Exclude Caitlin Clark From Playoff Graphic Sparks “Jealous” Talk

Indiana Fever is excited to play at Mohegan Sun Arena for their first playoff appearance since 2016. Thanks to rookie Caitlin Clark, the team has had an amazing journey to reach this point. But fans were outraged when she was left out of the playoff visuals, given her status as one of the team’s biggest draws right now.

The No. 6 Indiana Fever will play the No. 3 Connecticut Sun on Sunday. Tickets start at $133, which is more than the cheapest tickets for the 2023 WNBA Finals. If the Fever win advances to the next round, ticket prices might go up even more.

Fans and NBA greats believe Rookie Caitlin Clark is a big reason for WNBA’s recent growth. She had an amazing season, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds, breaking many records.

However, the league’s official account picked Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell for the playoff graphic instead of Clark, which upset many fans. They felt Clark should have received recognition for her incredible performance.

Fans angry reaction over playoff graphic that left out Caitlin Clark

WNBA fans have expressed their anger and disappointment after the official playoff graphic did not include Caitlin Clark, one of the most prominent and talented rookie players of the Indiana Fever.

Fans quickly took to social media to voice their outrage, criticizing the graphic for overlooking one of the most deserving players. @TRhodes96 commented, “Attendance way up, arenas sold out and you leave off the player responsible for the success? Bravo. 👏 👏”

@Alexm3111 pointed out, “The fact that Clark isn’t on this graphic should prove to everyone that WNBA is jealous of her success.”

@RobertRagan84 added, “Not having Clark on this graphic is yet another example of the WNBA having no clue what they’re doing in regards to marketing their product.”
