Steelers’ TJ Watt Reaches 100 Sacks, Second-Fastest In NFL History

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt has reached a major career milestone by getting his 100th sack. With this massive record, he became the second-fastest player in NFL history to reach this milestone, demonstrating that he is one of the best defensive players in the game.

TJ Watt has gone a long way in the NFL in his short eight years there. The Steelers’ star pass-rusher, a six-time Pro Bowler and 2021 Defensive Player of the Year is now the second-fastest to reach 100 sacks.

In his 109th game, Watt hit this milestone in style, teaming up with Nick Herbig to sack Dak Prescott and force a fumble during the first quarter against the Cowboys.

Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t win, TJ Watt’s amazing achievements totally grabbed everyone’s attention. His record made the news, just barely stealing the spotlight from the Cowboys’ tight win.

TJ Watt’s brother welcomes him for this milestone

When TJ Watt got his 100th sack after the Steelers vs. Cowboys game, he became the 44th player in NFL history to hit that mark. His brother, JJ Watt, praised him on social media after the game and shared a funny joke to mark the occasion.

His brother JJ Watt noted, ”Welcome to the 100 Sack Club… we’ve been waiting. New guy buys everyone else a car. I don’t make the rules, that’s just the way it goes.”
