Warriors Secure Fourth Straight Preseason Victory With 18-Point Win Over Pistons

The Golden State Warriors are on fire this preseason. On October 13, 2024, they secured a solid 111-93 win against the Detroit Pistons at the Chase Center. With this victory, the Warriors remain undefeated, marking their fourth straight win under Steve Kerr’s new rotation.

The Warriors showed how deep and talented they are, even though star player Stephen Curry was out. Six players scored more than ten points each in their game against the Pistons.

Moses Moody scored 14 points, including two 3-pointers. Brandin Podziemski, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Jonathan Kuminga each scored 12 points, with Kuminga making three 3-pointers.

Buddy Hield came off the bench and scored 12 points, all from four 3-pointers. Lindy Waters III scored 13 points, all from three-pointers, too. The Warriors won the game 111–93 and now have a perfect 4-0 record in the preseason.

Their next game is against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, and fans are excited to see Stephen Curry on the court.

Why Warriors’ Steph Curry missed the match against Pistons

Golden State Warriors’ star player, Stephen Curry, missed their recent preseason game against the Detroit Pistons because he hurt his finger in a previous game against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry jammed his right index finger during the game against the Kings. X-rays showed no broken bones, but the injury was still painful. The Warriors’ coach, Steve Kerr, decided to let Curry rest to avoid making the injury worse.

Since it’s still the preseason, the team wants to make sure their players are healthy for the regular season. Draymond Green also missed the game because of a knee injury. The team is being careful with their players to keep them safe and ready for the season ahead.
