“I have really enjoyed playing for Mr. Kidd” – Klay Thompson On Mavericks’ Head Coach

The four-time NBA winner Klay Thompson just started practicing with the Dallas Mavericks for the upcoming season. Fans were worried about how well he’d do without Stephen Curry.

However, Thompson quickly eased their worries by scoring 10 points in his first game. He expressed excitement about playing under coach Jason Kidd and is enjoying the new environment.

After Thursday night’s game, Klay Thompson shared his thoughts on head coach Jason Kidd, and he seemed impressed.  He said, “I have really enjoyed playing for Mr. Kidd. First off, I was just a huge admirer of his game growing up, especially his mixtapes, some of the best ever. The passes he threw, you still don’t see to this day. I mean, Luka (Doncic) does a good impression of it. He just seems like such a great leader.”

Thompson, who joined the Mavericks after 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, has been adjusting to his new team. Despite a slow start in the preseason, he’s confident that once Luka Doncic returns, the chemistry will click, and he’ll be able to contribute significantly.

Warriors shooting guard shares thoughts on Klay Thompson’s exit

The Golden State Warriors are starting a new chapter without their legendary “Splash Brothers.” Recently, rising star Brandin Podziemski shared his thoughts on Thompson’s departure.

After their win against the Lakers, Podziemski shared, “It was definitely strange coming in during the summer and not seeing [Thompson’s] nameplate up there, but the past is the past.”

Brandin highlighted how the new team has reset and adjusted without Thompson, achieving back-to-back wins in the preseason. He added. “we’re going to miss him this year, but we can’t dwell on it. We’ve got a new squad, 6-0 now, so it’s time to reset everything.”
