Wrestling fans were eager to see Bill Goldberg back in the ring for a last bout with Gunther after the Bad Blood event. His conflict with Gunther attracted much attention and raised hopes for the Crown Jewel event.
However, recent reports indicate that Goldberg’s surprise appearance at WWE’s Crown Jewel this week is not on the schedule despite all the ongoing buzz.
It’s not clear if WWE wants to have a Goldberg vs. Gunther match in the future. According to Mike Johnson’s report and Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are no plans for their showdown at Survivor Series or WrestleMania.
So, Goldberg fans thought he might show up at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia this week. However, Mike Johnson from PWInsider has stated once more that the Hall of Famer will not be at the Crown Jewel, meaning any future storyline involving him and Gunther won’t progress at this time.
WWE adds Roman Reigns to Crown Jewel match card
WWE has always made the event in Saudi Arabia more important every year, and 2024 looks like it will be the best one yet. The recent changes in the Bloodline storyline have made fans even more excited for the show.
At Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns will team up with Jimmy and Jey Uso in a six-man tag team match to face Solo Sikoa and two other Bloodline members, as hinted at last Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
WWE’s latest match graphic shows all four members of the Bloodline—Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa—possibly using Freebird rules for the match.
This big event will happen on November 2, 2024, at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event schedules several high-profile fights, with the one featuring the OG Bloodline expected to be the most thrilling of the night.
