The Undertaker spent a significant portion of his thirty-year career in character and rarely participated in interviews. However, now that he isn’t as frequently featured in the ring, he has faced major criticism for his views on modern-day wrestling, which he expressed in several interviews and podcasts.
Recently, he got backlash again for his comments about today’s wrestlers. Still, The Undertaker stood by his opinions, saying they were just his thoughts.
The Undertaker is known for being honest about his views. He recently criticized modern wrestlers for not having enough pride in wrestling and not focusing on storytelling in the ring. These comments from his “Six Feet Under podcast” have sparked a significant backlash from fans and fellow wrestlers alike.
After the backlash, he defended his words in a recent episode, saying he didn’t mean to attack anyone personally but wanted to give helpful feedback. He said, “That’s the big thing, especially with wrestling people and wrestling fans—everything feels like if I criticize you about something publicly, it’s a personal attack. That’s how people see it.”

He continued, “But really, it’s not a personal attack. I’m giving my opinion on how I would have done it, or what worked for me. That doesn’t make it the right way; it was just right for me.” He admitted that calling modern wrestlers “soft” might not have been the best choice of words.
The Phenom explained, “Maybe ‘soft’ wasn’t the right choice of words. I was just starting to talk and come out of my shell then. I didn’t realize how far Joe Rogan’s podcast would reach or who would be watching. What killed me though was the passive-aggressive tweets from other wrestlers.”
The Undertaker’s take on Omos
WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker recently spoke highly of 416-pound Superstar Omos, saying he is one of his favorites in WWE. On his “Six Feet Under” podcast, the 59-year-old said that Omos is just starting to show his true potential in the company.
He said, “I’m so happy you’re here, because you honestly are one of my favorite people in WWE at the moment. I mean, he has so many qualities. He’s very Kane-like, only bigger which is insane to think about [given] how big Kane is. But I mean, as a human being, just an unbelievable human being, and only begin[ning] to scratch the surface, I think of what you’re going to do with WWE, man.”
His noteworthy comments have made fans excited. They are curious to see if Omos will get a big push in the future.
