Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards Breaks NBA Record vs Bulls

The Minnesota Timberwolves earned their fifth win of the season on Thursday, beating the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. This victory improved the Timberwolves’ record to 5-3, while the Bulls dropped to 3-6. Anthony Edwards led the team with 33 points and set a new NBA record, shining as the standout player in the game.

After scoring 20 or more points in six consecutive games, Anthony Edwards extended his streak to seven in their most recent victory against Charlotte. Edwards significantly increased his performance on Thursday, scoring 33 points against Chicago.

His strong performances show why he believes no one in the 1980s was more skilled than Michael Jordan. Edwards’ ability to score big points shows his confidence.

This was his 69th career 30-point game, tying him with Anthony Davis for 15th all-time among players 23 or younger. Edwards, at just 23 years old, is undoubtedly poised to ascend this list. Next, he’s aiming to pass Michael Jordan, who had 78 career 30-point games before turning 24.

Rudy Gobert shares big improvement in Anthony Edwards’ game

Following their impressive victory against the Chicago Bulls, Rudy Gobert spoke highly of Anthony Edwards, praising his remarkable improvement this season. Gobert, who scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds, mentioned how Edwards’ improved passing and court vision have helped the Timberwolves win.

He said, “We’ve been working. Every year, [Ant’s] playmaking has gotten better, and this is the year where I feel like he’s really seeing what’s happening on the floor… whether it’s the bounce pass or the lob, he’s able to make those passes.”
