WWE Announces CM Punk’s Return to the Promotion

CM Punk has been absent from the WWE since the RAW following Bad Blood. After finishing his big rivalry with Drew McIntyre in an epic Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood, both wrestlers took a break from the ring. While McIntyre’s return date is still unknown, WWE recently announced a possible return date for CM Punk.

CM Punk is set to make his return to the promotion on December 26, 2024, as part of the WWE Live Holiday Tour at Madison Square Garden. Initially, many thought Punk might return at Survivor Series to face Gunther. But recent backstage news confirmed this won’t happen because Gunther’s match with Damian Priest is already set.

After Bad Blood, CM Punk told the audience he was going home to be with his family and wasn’t sure when he’d return. Recently, Madison Square Garden confirmed on their official page that “The Best in the World,” will come back in December.

According to the tweet, Punk will be part of a live event on December 26 which is heading to Madison Square Garden.

What is the Future of Seth Rollins vs CM Punk Feud?

The highly anticipated feud between Seth Rollins and CM Punk has been one of the most talked-about storylines in WWE. Fans have been excited about the feud since Punk came back at Survivor Series 2023. But now, it looks like the showdown might not happen until 2025.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray thinks their match could take place at WrestleMania 41. The rivalry grew after Punk’s return, with both stars trading strong words and having tense moments. Rollins’ injury and Punk’s feud with Drew McIntyre have delayed their match.

WWE is currently focusing on long-term storylines, so there’s still a good chance Rollins and Punk will headline WrestleMania.
