"I Was Misunderstanding" - Luka Dončić Apologizes for Costly Error in Mavericks' Loss

On Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks seemed ready to snap their three-game losing streak. Even though Kyrie Irving was out, Luka Dončić stepped up to lead the team against the struggling Utah Jazz.

Luka played well and scored the most points for the Mavericks. But a big mistake at the end of the game led to another loss, making it four losses in a row for Dallas. He has accepted his mistake and issued an apology following the costly error.

Luka Dončić took full blame for the Mavericks’ loss, admitting a key mistake in the final moments of the game against the Jazz. He explained in a post-game interview, “It was a misunderstanding. I thought I was going to guard, and Grimes thought he was going to guard… We got confused with the bench. That’s on me.”

In the fourth quarter, Klay Thompson hit a big three-pointer to tie the game at 113-113. With less than 30 seconds left, Jordan Clarkson passed to John Collins, who scored the game-winning basket. Luka, distracted by the bench, missed the play and allowed Collins to get the final shot.

Fans are angry with Luka Dončić’s mistake and sharing their frustration on social media, trolling him for the lack of awareness in the final moments.
