“I Know It’s a Knee” – Chargers HC Shares JK Dobbins Injury Details Post-Ravens Game

The Chargers vs. Ravens “Monday Night Football” game was special for many reasons, especially because of some old blockbuster rivalries. The game was particularly significant for running back JK Dobbins, who was playing against his former team.

The 25-year-old started off impressively. However, a significant setback in the second quarter hindered both his performance and the team’s outcome.

An injury frustratingly kept Dobbins out of the game for the remainder. In the first half, he ran six times for 40 yards and caught three passes from Justin Herbert.

However, he appeared to hurt his knee during a tackle by Malik Harrison with 5:09 left in the second quarter. Before halftime, JK Dobbins headed to the locker room while holding his left knee.

In the post-game interview, Chargers head coach, Jim Harbaugh, shared details about JK Dobbins’ knee injury. He said, “I have no update. I know it’s a knee.”

The Chargers are hopeful for a positive recovery for Dobbins, who has been a key player this season, ranking third in the AFC in rushing yards with 726. But his injury history is really concerning.

JK Dobbins’ injury history continues to hurt teams

This latest injury setback is a continuation of a troubling pattern for Dobbins, who has faced multiple significant injuries throughout his career. Dobbins’ injury woes began in college, where he suffered a broken fibula in 2016 and a high-ankle sprain in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl.

His professional career has been similarly plagued by injuries, including a torn ACL, LCL, meniscus, and hamstring in 2021, and an Achilles tear in 2023. Over his last three seasons in Baltimore, he played in only nine games, showing how much his injuries have affected his time on the field.
