The Friday night game against the Atlanta Hawks was frustrating for the Los Angeles Lakers, especially for LeBron James. Many fans had been worried about his low scoring in recent games, thinking his age was catching up with him.
But LeBron proved them wrong in this game, even though he couldn’t secure a win for the Lakers. After the game, ‘The King’ admitted that his time in the NBA might be running out.
LeBron James is still playing amazingly, getting triple-doubles, and staying one of the best in the NBA. But the fact is, he’s almost 40 years old, which means he is almost close to his retirement.
After the Lakers’ loss to the Hawks, LeBron James addressed the topics that most NBA fans are not interested in hearing about.
LeBron: "He turned it over. It's my job to back him. That's what teammates do."

While speaking to the reporters, he said, “I don’t know. I just go out there and just play the game the right way. Compete at a high level and leave it all out on the floor every time I go out there. My time is very limited on how long I’ll play. I’m just happy to still be able to play the game that I love.”
LeBron James’ star performance fails to secure Lakers victory
The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling in the 2024-25 NBA season. Before Friday night, their record was 12-10, but after a close loss to the Hawks, it dropped to 12-11.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis gave amazing performances but couldn’t secure the win. LeBron scored 39 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had 11 assists, showing he’s still got it at almost 40 years old. Anthony Davis added 38 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 blocks, even going a perfect 5-for-5 in the second quarter.
