Fans were hoping that three-time Pro Bowler and former Super Bowl winner Odell Beckham Jr would help the Dolphins’ offense a lot, but he couldn’t. Therefore, to everyone’s surprise, the team decided to let him go, thereby ending his brief tenure with them.
Odell Beckham Jr joined the Dolphins on a one-year, $3 million deal, aiming to form a strong trio with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. However, things didn’t click as everyone wanted. A knee injury delayed his start, keeping him from practicing until October. Recently, he missed two practices due to personal reasons.
Coach Mike McDaniel shared that the decision to part ways with him was mutual. McDaniel explained, “Odell and I have been very communicative since he’s been here. He had a tough start in terms of having to rehab his way into the season and then just looking at it as simple as, all right, what’s the best for both him and the team moving forward?“

He added, “And we just thought it was a good time to go that direction. That was the motivation behind it. That’s all.”
