Kevin Owens Misses Package Piledriver on Shawn Michaels, Gets Hit with Sweet Chin Music During SNME

Kevin Owens has been using the package piledriver as his finishing move for a while now. Every time he enters the ring, he brings out this brutal move. However, the funny part is that he often misses it.

This time, at the Saturday Night Main Event, Owens tried it on WWE legend Shawn Michaels. But with a little help from Cody Rhodes, Michaels was able to counter it with his finishing move.

Things heated up during a contract signing for Owens’ upcoming ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Championship with Cody Rhodes. The crowd was divided—Cody got cheers, but Owens was booed.

The commentators didn’t hold back their dislike for Owens after his rude remarks. After a back-and-forth, Owens finally signed the contract, but the drama didn’t stop there. After the signing, Michaels told both men to give up their titles. When they did, Owens tried to attack Cody.

Meanwhile, Michael stepped in to stop him, but Owen tried to hit a package piledriver on Shawn. Then, Cody Rhodes kicked Owens, and Michaels responded with a powerful Sweet Chin Music.

The crowd went wild as Michaels stood tall, and Owens was left frustrated as the segment ended on a high note for Michaels and the fans.

Kevin Owens set for prestigious WWE Royal Rumble record

Kevin Owens is about to make history at the WWE Royal Rumble. He’s getting ready to tie the record for the most championship matches at the event. On February 1, 2025, Owens will face Cody Rhodes in a big ladder match, his seventh title match at the Royal Rumble.

Even though he might not win against Rhodes due to storyline needs, Owens’ Royal Rumble journey has been filled with tough rivalries and exciting matches. In past matches, he’s fought against big names like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and AJ Styles.

This year, Owens will challenge for both the Undisputed WWE Championship and his ‘Real’ WWE Championship, with both titles hanging above the ring.
