“Lamar Jackson Got Robbed” – Jackson’s MVP Snub Sparks Fury Among NFL Fans

The announcement of Josh Allen as the 2024 NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) has sparked outrage among fans, with many believing that Ravens’ Lamar Jackson was unfairly snubbed a second straight award.

Josh Allen had a standout season, leading the Bills to the AFC Championship. He threw for over 3,700 yards, ran for 531 more, and totaled 40 touchdowns.

No doubt, his stats were impressive, but in the end, it all came down to voting. Fans are now questioning the process after Lamar Jackson was snubbed for the MVP award.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Allen won in a tight race with 383 voting points, while Jackson finished just behind with 362.

Jackson was aiming to match Tom Brady’s three MVP awards, making the loss even tougher for his supporters.

Fans react to Lamar Jackson’s NFL MVP snub

Many fans were shocked, given Lamar Jackson’s historic season. He led the Ravens to record-breaking offensive success, becoming the first team to achieve 40 passing and 20 rushing touchdowns in a single season.

His dual-threat play also helped Baltimore surpass 4,000 passing and 3,000 rushing yards—an NFL first. Despite these achievements, Allen secured 27 first-place votes, while Jackson got 23. This didn’t sit well with Ravens fans, who lashed out at the voters for picking Allen over Jackson.

@Sports_Chatz tweeted, “Lamar Jackson got robbed of his 3rd MVP. Allen had a great year but Lamar was the best player in the league and I think it’s hard to debate otherwise.”

@Sufyan13978 wrote, “It’s a real shame that voter fatigue robbed Jackson of a deserving 3rd MVP.”

@clay_fink said, “The NFL Award Voters really gave Lamar Jackson the 1st Team All-Pro QB Spot and then robbed him of his Second Straight MVP💔”

@jaryn_dixon added, “Lamar Jackson doesn’t win MVP and Franz Wagner sells by 1 point yea fanduel yall wicked💀😭.”
