Remember when Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade’s statue was revealed? Everyone criticized the statue’s design on social media. It didn’t fully capture the greatness of the former Heat star.
Following Donald Trump’s announcement, it appears that the creation of a statue of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is very imminent. But after recalling Wade’s statue unveiling moment, fans on social media are too much worried.
They fear that the artist might not do justice to Bryant’s statue, just like what happened with Wade’s sculpture.
The Dwyane Wade statue which revealed outside the Kaseya Center in Miami, caused a lot of disappointment among fans. Many felt the statue didn’t look like Wade at all. Some even said it resembled actor Laurence Fishburne instead of the basketball star.
The glossy finish and the facial details didn’t sit well with fans either. Now, with Kobe Bryant’s statue coming soon, fans are nervous. They’re worried that if the same artist, Omri Amrany, is chosen again, the result might not do justice to Kobe’s legacy.
Just hope they don’t hire the same artist as the one who did D-Wade’s statue

Some fans, like @CJRealHoops1, are even hoping for a change in the artist, saying, “Just hope they don’t hire the same artist as the one who did D-Wade’s statue.”
Kobe Bryant’s Taylor Swift fan moment goes viral again
Taylor Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, is well-respected in the sports world. Even late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant seemed to admire her work.
In an interview six years ago, podcaster Jordan Harbinger joked about Kobe listening to Taylor Swift in his car. Kobe’s response wasn’t just about music—it was about learning from greatness.
He said, “I do. I think it’s important to listen to people who do great things. Taylor has been at the top of the game for a very, very long time. How, and why? How does she write?”
remember when, the interviewer set it up to mock Taylor Swift, and Kobe Bryant pulled the biggest reverse card ever. RIP Kobe Bryant 🙏pic.twitter.com/npKIB5WWsX

He admired her ability to stay successful, create hit after hit, and handle the pressure of always improving. “I don’t care if you like her music or don’t like her music, look at what she’s doing. It’s unbelievable to be able to pull that off, over and over and over again,” he added.
While Kobe may not have been a die-hard Swiftie, he clearly respected her talent and work ethic.
