Right now in WWE, everyone in the elimination chamber is chasing Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 41. Since Jey Uso won the Royal Rumble and chose to challenge Gunther, the upcoming Elimination Chamber match on March 1 will decide who faces Rhodes for the title.
Seth Rollins is one of the top contenders and has made it clear to Rhodes that he’s coming for the title. Before that happened, though, the former Heavyweight Champion showed respect to his old friend. This was after Rollins confronted Rhodes about his recent partnership with The Rock.
The Raw segment between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes didn’t start off friendly. In fact, it felt more like a confrontation than a casual chat. But the words Seth Rollins chose for his friend were nothing short of legendary. And when he softly said, “I’m not coming for your soul, I’m coming for your title,” it sent chills through the crowd—including Rhodes himself.
However, before making his title challenge clear, Rollins laid out exactly which version of Cody Rhodes he wanted to face. This part of their exchange felt intense, almost like a challenge in itself.
Rollins said in a strong voice, “The Cody Rhodes I wanna face at WrestleMania is the man… that came back to this company and beat me at WrestleMania 38!… that took me to my limit and beat me with one arm inside Hell in a Cell… that I helped crown WWE Champion last year in the main event at WrestleMania.”
He made it clear—he didn’t want to see a soulless version of The American Nightmare. Rollins then gave one final message: “You’re gonna do what you want. That’s what I want.”
Every word from “The Visionary” was meant to push Rhodes toward a crucial decision ahead of the Elimination Chamber—to fight for his position, not give his soul to The Rock.
Seth Rollins advises Cody Rhodes to keep his soul
On Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins interrupted Cody Rhodes and reminded him they hadn’t been in the ring together since WrestleMania 40. But instead of talking about a WrestleMania 41 match, Rollins questioned Cody about The Rock’s demand.
Rollins recalled how they once fought The Bloodline together. He was upset that Cody didn’t slap The Rock in the face, saying it felt like a slap to him instead. He also asked what Cody would gain by siding with The Rock. Rollins made it clear—if being champion was too much for Cody, he had no problem taking that title himself.

Cody responded, saying Rollins sounded judgmental. He even hinted that Rollins’ soul might already be lost, reminding him of when he once sided with The Authority.
That’s when Rollins gave Cody a serious warning—not to make the same mistake he did. He urged him not to let The Rock control him. Cody’s face showed he understood the message. But the real answer will come at the Elimination Chamber.
