Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback left WWE in 2016, but fans never knew the real reason behind his departure—until now. After 8 years, he finally spoke up about why he left and what it would take for him to return.
He left WWE for a few reasons. He felt he wasn’t getting enough chances to show what he could do, and he believed the way he was booked hurt his career. It’s understandable, especially since he only won one championship in his time there.
Recently, he posted a video on Instagram discussing the possibility of a WWE comeback, given the absence of Vince McMahon from the company. He said, “Now that Vince is gone, I am well, well moved on past the situation. I wish them all the best. I am doing great. I am at peace with everything on that, and I won what I needed to win.”
However, he stipulated a condition for his return, stating, “I’ve got my health back… Some serious wrongs need to be righted, and it would most, honestly take The Rock getting involved for something to get done.”
So, Ryback is among Vince McMahon’s haters
Ryback has never been a fan of Vince McMahon. For years, he has openly criticized the former WWE chairman.
During a Twitter Q&A in September 2020, he didn’t hold back. He called McMahon a “piece of s—” and even said the world would be better without him. His anger came from how he believed McMahon treated WWE talent and ran the business.
Now is the time for ALL wrestling talent to stand together and refuse to perform. Nothing changes without courage and right now the world has your back like never before. Wrestling will become so much better once @vincemcmahon is out completely. So do it for your kids. @wwe 👎

In January 2024, McMahon resigned from WWE due to serious allegations. Now, Triple H is in charge, and Ryback seems to like how he’s managing things. This has even made him consider a return to WWE.
