“Hell No” – Injured Nikola Jokic Dismisses Rest Suggestion of Coach Michael Malone

The Denver Nuggets’ recent 140-127 win proves why they are in second place on the table. With a player like Nikola Jokic, who doesn’t let injuries stop him and scores massively against the best team (Thunder), it’s clear that the Nuggets are true contenders for the championship.

The Nuggets are having a fantastic season, and their nearly perfect game on Monday night helped them get their 42nd win of the season against the Western Conference’s number-one seed, the Thunder.

Nikola Jokic has been dealing with a right elbow contusion and a left ankle impingement. Therefore, head coach Michael Malone decided that Nikola Jokic should sit out the game. Since the Nuggets are in a safe spot for the playoffs, missing a game or two wouldn’t hurt their standing.

But Jokic wasn’t having it. He shut down the idea with his usual determination, saying, “Hell no.” Despite dealing with injury concerns, Jokic put on an incredible performance, scoring 35 points, grabbing 18 rebounds, and making eight assists.

His dedication and effort helped the Nuggets beat the Thunder, improving their record to 42-23 and tying the season series between the two teams at two wins each.

Nikola Jokic breaks silence on MVP race with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic has finally opened up about the heated MVP race with Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Both players have been stealing the spotlight with their incredible performances, making it tough to pick just one MVP.

After the game against the Thunder, Jokic was asked about the competition with Gilgeous-Alexander. He honestly said, “This is my third or fourth year in a row, so … I don’t know. I cannot control it.”

The 30-year-old added, “I will say that I think I’m playing the best basketball of my life, so if that’s enough, it’s enough. If not, the guy deserves it. He’s really amazing.”
