This Thursday night, the Luka Dončić and LeBron James duo couldn’t quite shine against the Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Brandin Podziemski. Despite another amazing 30+ point game from LeBron, the Lakers lost to the Warriors in a crucial Western Conference matchup, as Luka struggled on the other end.
LeBron James, at 40 years old, proved once again why he remains one of the NBA’s most dominant players. He scored 33 points on an efficient 10-of-15 shooting, adding nine assists and five three-pointers to his stat line.
On the other hand, Luka Dončić, who the Lakers acquired in a blockbuster trade earlier this season, had an uncharacteristically off night. The Slovenian star managed just 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting and missed all six of his three-point attempts.
Lakers fall short against the Warriors, 123-116. Steph was cooking, and the defense just wasn't there tonight Luka didn't played well. LeBron dropped 33, but it wasn’t enough. Time to regroup and bounce back! #LakeShow #DubNation #GSWvsLAL pic.twitter.com/Scgp52icrW

The Purple and Gold started strong, with Austin Reaves scoring 31 points and Rui Hachimura adding 24. However, a cold shooting stretch in the first quarter and missed opportunities in the closing minutes allowed the Warriors to control the game.
Though the Lakers lost, there was no denying that LeBron James’ strong showing is still something everyone admires. Yet, his consistent high-level performance even at the age of 40 has sparked conversations and raised questions about the potential use of performance-enhancing substances.
Tracy McGrady hints LeBron James using steroids
NBA Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady caused a stir with his comments about LeBron James’ long career and impressive play at 40 years old. On a recent podcast, McGrady praised LeBron’s achievements but also suggested that people might question his success, mentioning that LeBron has been known to use drugs.
“I don’t know how he’s doing it (LeBron), I hope its the right way… (pause 👀👀)”

They asked T-Mac who the GOAT is and he gave LeBron his praise but refused to name a guy. He also has his doubts LeBron is doing what hes doing clean! 💉🤔🤔

He said, “It is the greatest thing my eyes have seen in sports for a 40-year-old guy to do what he’s doing, at that level and to do that consistently…I don’t know how he’s doing it, I hope it’s the right way.”
